The purpose of our lives is to be happy
Eleven more sleeps and our REVA Happiness Week is here. Lots of joy and connection from September 18 to 22, hopefully with you. Together we'll kick off the new academic year!
On the schedule? A mix of pleasant collegial events, info sessions, sportivity and, of course, the REVA Day (see further).
Discover it below, note it in your calendar and register where necessary. The line up is not yet complete (locations are not yet known), but updates will follow and you can keep an eye on the Happiness Week page.
EVENTS
Third time, at least as good: REVA Breakfast on Monday September 18, starting at 9:00 a.m. in kitchen 1B3. Healthy and the time of summer bodies is over anyway, so let yourself go.

The main emphases and perspectives in our department policy will be discussed at the open department meeting, on Tuesday September 19, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in classroom 5.2 (5B3).
If you have questions beforehand or if there are issues you would like to see discussed, don't hesitate to let the executive board or the ATP and AAP/OAP representatives know!

Our CWO got the mustard from faculty and is also hosting a Research Day on Wednesday morning September 20. Two research groups will introduce themselves and we'll talk about (alternative) funding opportunities, among other things.

And another all week activity: the Secret Hero. Already signed up for our low-key and still slightly secret action? Our version of Secret Santa, you may be naughty or nice.
Will you participate? Sign up here!
INFO SESSIONS
Some new features or tools that strengthen your career: a few info sessions on offer.

On Monday September 18, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., we invite colleagues from the PhD Career Hub.
In the first hybrid part they will give general information about what the PhD Career Hub and Postdoc Talent Management stand for, with a short presentation on the current situation of researchers and career perspectives inside and outside academia. The second physical part involves some brief exercises regarding career opportunities. Interesting for postdocs and finishing predocs!

You can also sign up for a teaching workshop:
SPORT
An invigorating Zumba afternoon break, taught by our fantastic in-house instructor Anke Adriaansen? Free of charge on Tuesday September 19 from noon to 1:00 pm. Location follows, but throw the hips loose already.

Happiness Week is also dominated by the REVA Pong Finals. The top eight on the ladder will compete in two pools (Monday through Wednesday), with the top two from each pool advancing to the have finals and finals, which will be played during REVA Day on Thursday afternoon.
Time is ticking for those who are not yet in the top eight, the ladder will close on Friday September 15 at 3 p.m.
Challenge yourself and colleagues during the workday with the approachable Bureaufit Challenge: 18 different exercises you can do throughout the day. Join in, track your progress and who knows, maybe a surprise will follow during REVA Day!
REVA DAY
For our REVA Day on Thursday afternoon September 21, we are going on the artistic tour: REV-Arte! Lunch (12:00 p.m.), fine activity (2:00 p.m.) for everyone and, what's more, close by. Who will be the Banksy of our department?

Let your fantasy flow! Sign up here before Thursday September 14.
